Is Distilled Water Safe For Drinking?

Water is one of the necessary requirements of resources we need in order to survive, but in today’s climate that might come with a warning tag. According to Artywater.com, up to 2.5 billion people worldwide do not have access to an improved water source, which makes investing into a water purifier of any sort much more necessary nowadays. But what about distilled water? Is distilled water safe to drink since it is found in many stores as often an exceptionally low price than other filtered water? I will explain why it is often safe but as a cost.

Distilled water is water that has been through a purification process called distillation, which removes chemicals and toxic material in a form of heating and cooling, using the steam as an extract and condensing it back into water form. Distillation is based on different boiling points within the process, in which water’s boiling point is 100 degrees Celsius activates the distillation process.

By distilled water removing toxic chemicals, it also removes all essential minerals within it, leaving only plain water. By drinking distilled water, it might be possible to attract the minerals in your body to maintain its form and balance. Therefore, you might lose essential minerals from places needed the most, such as the fatty tissues, liver, and teeth. Drinking distilled water overtime might lead to more minerals being lost in the body, which can lead to other health problems.

Even though distilled water is without its minerals, it is still considered the cleanest form of water. It is removed from all heavy metals and contaminants found in tap water and is free from fluoride and other chemicals. So, you won’t have to worry much about drinking distilled water and consuming those toxins. However, by it being so pure, it will give off a flat taste that might not be as desirable as drinking purified water. Most people don’t use distilled water normally for drinking. It can be used as a way to clean automobiles, sanitization for hospitals, humidifiers, planting, and beauty products just to name a few.

So, to answer your question, Is drinking distilled water safe? If you decide to have a glass or two, it should not be any problems as its just pure water that has been vaporized and chilled back into liquid form. However, if you drink distilled water on a constant basis, and is not on a nutrient-dense diet, the water might strip away vital minerals from key places within your body.

My personal solution would be to ditch the distilled water and invest in a faucet filter, as it will do the same job as distilled water but will retain its vital minerals. My favorite water purifier is the Waterdrop Faucet Filter, I am still using it after 2 months and is still getting great, purified water that is way tastier than regular distilled water. I hope this article has helped you, fell free to share this post with others who may wonder if distilled water is safe to drink. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!

Does Social Media Help Businesses?

Does Social Media Help Businesses?

Read Time5 Minute, 21 Second

It is a new day, a new decade and a new era. The world of social media has changed the world in ways we have never seen before. According to WeAreSocial.com, More than 3.8 billion people across the world have a social media account of some sort, which will be close to 50% of the world’s population.

Social media can be a mix of both problems and solutions at the same time, such as solving crime situations and locating missing people, to spreading negative energy and drama which can lead to more serious accusations such as suicide.

But what about social media when it comes to business? Can the power of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest etc. can make a positive or negative impact when it comes to business and finance? Well my answer is simple, and I will explain my opinion on social media helping businesses.

First off, I view a perfect social media account in three parts: 40% followers, 30% content, and 30% reach (search results). As the account matures, the percentage will toggle overtime, which will change the impact that the account has upon society.

For example, Lebron James Instagram account is the perfect social media account. He has a majority of great content with over a million likes per post, which comes from having such a high following. That high following will list his account as the first option when searching for his account name, which makes all three parts work together to make his account the perfect social media account.

Now let’s take his account and put it into business perspective. If he posts on Instagram promoting a small business in his hometown, the chances of that business getting numbers in regard to search and traffic is more than 90 percent.

By Lebron having a high following, those likes will more than likely transform into link clicks as well, which will lead to traffic production to the business that will then lead to more sales and revenue. I view this interaction as The Social Revenue Cycle.

The SRC is explained, in which the traffic (followers) from the account will lead to the business site when it’s tag or link is clicked, which then the business will be shared to other people if the consumer finds the business beneficial. The other people will then go to the original source of mentioning, which is the popular social media account, which will then receive the traffic from the business mentioned. You can use the cycle for all social media accounts and is depended solely on the number of followers the account has.

So, to answer the question “Does social media help businesses?” yes, social media help businesses in regard to traffic reach and sales. However, the only way businesses can profit off social media alone is if the account is highly popular according to the chart mentioned in the first section.

If the social media chart explained above matches the account provided, then the business mentioned can have a great chance of receiving those sales off of the mentions alone, especially of the account has over 500,000 followers.

The business will then be depended on the SRC. The more traffic received, the better chances that the received traffic will produce more new traffic for the business overall. If you find this article helpful, please share it with others and leave your feedback below! I love hearing from you. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!

Best Way to Sharpen Pocket Knives

Best Way to Sharpen Pocket Knives

In these uncertain times, you cannot go outside without the possibility of getting involved in possible conflict. According to WorldPopulationReview.com, a study showed that even though overall crime rates have declined, the numbers are still in a level that is considered high. For example, in 2016 the top two instances regarding crime in the US is Aggravated Assault and Robbery. With the population increasing year by year, it is certain that the number will increase over time. That’s why its important to have an extra layer of protection on you always, because you will never know what may happen.

Another reason could be if you’re getting into hunting or is an experienced hunter. Most people will buy a firearm for that instance, but other people might not be able to for a variety of reasons or is looking for a secondary weapon to accompany with the primary hunting weapon. That’s where pocket knives come into play. According to the American Knife and Tool Institute, 34 million hunters and anglers carry knives. With that being said, it is crucial to keep the knives at high quality regarding sharpness. The sharper the knife, the more efficient quality the knife will produce. In this article I will explain the best way to sharpen pocket knives, that will keep them looking good and producing good for an extended period.

Use a Whetstone.

A whetstone can be a wonderful way to sharpen any size of pocket knife. You don’t have to struggle to hold it in order to use effectively, just place it on a hard, dry surface and smoothly run the blade downwards on the coarse (rough) side, finishing out on the fine detailed side. This is easy for beginners to do, and it doesn’t take a lot of time especially if the knife is averagely sharp or is just looking to add an extra detail.

Keep it Clean.

One of the reasons why knives lose sharpness over time is by them not being cleaned properly. If you have particles or residue on the blade especially after hunting, it will stick to the surface and strip the blade of its sharpness. Another scenario could be leaving it out in the rain, or in heavy moisture area for extended periods of time, which may cause the blade to rust and corrode. To keep the knife’s sharpness, make sure you clean the blade at once after every use, and wipe it clean of water to prevent rusting.

Use a Hone Sharpener.

When it’s all said and done, the best way to sharpen knives is using a hone sharpener. It is the most commonly used tool and is often inexpensive depending on grit quality. One of the problems that may accrue is that the sharper will be too big to use for a pocket knife, which may lead to slippage and/or dulling the knife even more. Thankfully there are portable hull sharpeners available specifically for pocket knives, that will be more convenient and suitable for easy, safe sharpening.

Use an Automatic Knife Sharpener.

This method is the easiest solution to sharpening pocket knives, especially if you’re short on time and need to sharpen your arsenal before heading out to hunt. All you need to do is lightly push the blade down and pull backward in the course slot for extra dull knives, and the fine slot for extra detail. When using an automatic knife sharpener, make sure you are using a straight knife instead of a jagged edge blade, because the rough grooves will not sharpen correctly and will damage the machine. If you do have a jagged blade, then make sure to get a sharpener that will allow you to straighten the blade, while sharpening at the same time.

Pocket knives are an essential tool for everyday use. Whether it’s home improvement, mechanical work, hunting or self-defense, you cannot do all those things correctly with a dull knife. That’s why its important to keep your knife sharp and precise always, in which these options listed below will allow you to keep a well-toned blade that will supply impressive results. I hope that this article has helped you, if so, share it with other people who might find this information helpful. Thank you for reading and heave a blessed day!

Blendjet is a handheld wireless blender that blends fruits and vegetables using USB charged power, making it easy to carry throughout many places. It allows you to make smoothies at a comfortable and convenient level, preferably from sitting on your living room couch or outdoors at the pool or beach. It’s like having a personal water bottle with a blender attached.

Source: Blendjet.com

What is the Blendjet for?

The Blendjet can be for anyone that loves making smoothies and drinks but hates having to deal with the hassle of searching for a plug and cleaning up afterward. It can also be for athletes that work out consistently going to the gym and don’t have the time to make fresh smoothies. He/she can take the Blendjet with them, as it’s small enough to fit in a regular gym bag, along with some fruits and protein powder, and can make a pre-workout or post-workout smoothie without having to search for a plug.

The same can be said for outdoorsmen and women who go camping and hiking where there is no electricity available to make refreshing smoothies along the way.  If you an office worker and is in a rush, you can use a Blendjet to make great smoothies as a lunch substitute right from the comfort of your desk.

Technical aspects of Blendjet

The best thing about Blendjet is that it is not a typical portable blender. Blendjet is constructed with a 5V motor that makes the blade run at a rotating power rate of 22,000 RPM (Revolutions-Per-Minute). It makes it very powerful to cut and blend a variety of fruits and vegetables at an efficient speed.

Blendjet’s blades are crafted using six-point stainless steel blades, bent and fitted to produce fine-detailed blending at the high-level quality. As noted, Blendjet does not come with a cord. Instead, it is powered using a USB rechargeable battery, that is made to produce 8-12 servings per full charge.

The material and design of the Blendjet are constructed to be food-safe and free of potentially toxic chemicals, along with built-in safety features in which it would be impossible to turn the blender on without the jar being connected to its base. Pros of Blendjet

There are a lot of advantages when using a Blendjet. The blenders are easy to clean that only takes a small amount of warm water and soap followed by turning it on to ensure a full clean throughout the jar and lid. When it comes to crushing ice, Blendjets blades make crushing ice at a reasonable size very easy, especially if added after the liquids are blended.

It is also very portable, so it wouldn’t be a hassle trying to fit a blender into a backpack or gym bag without over-stuffing. It is not heavy and doesn’t require many add-ons to be packed along with the mixer itself. The best thing about the Blendjet is that you can charge it almost anywhere that has a USB port. That means you can charge it on your laptop, video game system, TV, car, or block plugin that fits into the wall.

The available color array makes choosing a Blendjet to fit your style and expression very compatible. Every Blendjet blender comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee. If you had it during that period and is either unsatisfied or has gotten a malfunctioned product, you can return it for a full refund or exchange within those 30 days.

Cons of Blendjet

Every good thing comes with flaws, and Blendjet has a few of them to know before purchasing. First off, with it being a portable blender, it is not as big and full as traditional blenders, which means it would be impossible to add several varieties of items. If you decide to have a smoothie that consists of more than 2 fruits or veggies, it is better to use a regular blender.

If you want to use the Blendjet, then you might want to limit your items to two, not including the liquid and ice that is required as well. Another flaw is that it will take 2-3 hours to charge, so if you decide to take your Blendjet out to a place where electric plugins are limited, it is best to let it charge during a period when you’re at home for that amount of time.

If you want to take the lids off and wash them separately, you might encounter a problem where trying to remove the cover from the filter will be a problem, especially if your hands are wet. Make sure your hands and lids are dry so you can disassemble them easily. And finally, by the motor is different from ordinary kitchen blenders, crushing big ice cubes will become a problem. It is best to use small ice cubes to maximize the blending potential and to prevent the blade from possibly breaking.

Where to purchase your Blendjet

You can purchase a Blendjet on the company website, where it will give you a variety of options to choose from. You will also be accustomed to a section that contains recipes that you can use in regards to your blender. Overall I like this product a lot, and it is an excellent upgrade towards portable mixers. If you have a Blendjet, leave a comment below and let me know what you think about it! Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!

How To Clean Inside Camera Lens

How To Clean Inside Camera Lens

0 0
Read Time4 Minute, 14 Second

A camera lens can be very anxious to some photographers, especially those who are starting out. Imagine spending between $100 – $400 on a high-quality, top-notch lens for your new camera, and you leave them on a table overnight without having them covered, not knowing it takes 2.5 seconds for dust particles to attach to the glass.

Or you are in a rush to meet your client, and you cover up the lens while contently touching the glass without noticing. These small can add up over time, especially if it becomes a habit.

Most camera lenses come with covers that can be attached to prevent dust buildup, but sometimes if the glass is out in an open environment for long periods, the dust can fly inside the lens and cause your photos to look spotty and not clear. That’s why it is crucial to carry a good quality lens cleaning kit, and this article will show you how to clean the inside of your lens effectively and smoothly.

1: Purchase a high-quality lens cleaning kit.

The camera lens is costly, so it’s only right to take care of them with high-quality cleaning to preserve them as long as possible. You can use pure water and a soft towel, but it will cause streaking and corrosion over time, which will damage the lens and force you to spend another 300 dollars on a new lens.

By getting a high-quality lens cleaning kit, you will get all of the essential tools necessary to maintain your glass safely and practically, saving you lots of money over time. My favorite cleaning kit is the Altura Photo Professional Cleaning Kit. It provides all the things I need, such as microfiber cloths, alcohol and odor-free cleaner, soft micro brushes, and an air blower for less than 15 dollars.

2) Take apart the lens carefully.

If the lens can detach, take the time to disassemble the lens by either twisting or unscrewing. Layout the lens on a microfiber cloth or a smooth wooden surface, making sure that no particles are lying around that might scratch the glass.

When dissembling, make sure you sort out each lens and screws to match the specific model/make. For example, if you’re cleaning a macro lens set and a wide-angle lens set at once, make sure the glass is separated from one another to avoid putting together the wrong lens when finished.

3 Spray the lens with the lens cleaner one at a time, and wipe gently.

Once you have all the lens spread out, take the lens cleaner and spray one time on each side of the glass. If you have debris stuck on the lens, spray another 2 times and allow it to sit for a minute.

Then take the microfiber cloth and wipe in a CIRCULAR motion. If you clean up and down, you will create streaks and possible scratching due to the constant movement in one direction.

By wiping circular, you allow the pressure to distribute all around, which will prevent streaking and possible scratches. Flip the lens over and do the same on the other side.

4) Allow the lens to air dry for 5 minutes.

After you’re done wiping, place the lens on the cloth and air-dry for approximately 5 minutes. By doing that, you will allow the moisture to evaporate completely, and is guaranteed to make your lens completely dry.

If you attach the lens to your camera base right after wiping, the humidity will combine with the heat inside the camera, which will create a foggy like substance around the glass.

That will lead to little or no focus ability, blurred scenes, and possible damage to the inner lens. If you can look through the lens without holding it close to your eye, then the glass is clean.

5) Re-attach the lens and start snapping!

Once the lens is air-dried and ready to go, re-attach the glass, twist or screw them together carefully, and make sure, you don’t touch either side of the lens. Pack up the cleaning kit and store it in a safe place away from pets and children.

Cleaning and maintaining your lens the right way will guarantee you fresh, crisp professional photos while at the same time prolonging your lenses durability. If you find this article helpful, share it with other people who might have brought their first professional camera and are looking for tips on lens management. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!
