Water is one of the necessary requirements of resources we need in order to survive, but in today’s climate that might come with a warning tag. According to, up to 2.5 billion people worldwide do not have access to an improved water source, which makes investing into a water purifier of any sort much more necessary nowadays. But what about distilled water? Is distilled water safe to drink since it is found in many stores as often an exceptionally low price than other filtered water? I will explain why it is often safe but as a cost.

Distilled water is water that has been through a purification process called distillation, which removes chemicals and toxic material in a form of heating and cooling, using the steam as an extract and condensing it back into water form. Distillation is based on different boiling points within the process, in which water’s boiling point is 100 degrees Celsius activates the distillation process.

By distilled water removing toxic chemicals, it also removes all essential minerals within it, leaving only plain water. By drinking distilled water, it might be possible to attract the minerals in your body to maintain its form and balance. Therefore, you might lose essential minerals from places needed the most, such as the fatty tissues, liver, and teeth. Drinking distilled water overtime might lead to more minerals being lost in the body, which can lead to other health problems.

Even though distilled water is without its minerals, it is still considered the cleanest form of water. It is removed from all heavy metals and contaminants found in tap water and is free from fluoride and other chemicals. So, you won’t have to worry much about drinking distilled water and consuming those toxins. However, by it being so pure, it will give off a flat taste that might not be as desirable as drinking purified water. Most people don’t use distilled water normally for drinking. It can be used as a way to clean automobiles, sanitization for hospitals, humidifiers, planting, and beauty products just to name a few.

So, to answer your question, Is drinking distilled water safe? If you decide to have a glass or two, it should not be any problems as its just pure water that has been vaporized and chilled back into liquid form. However, if you drink distilled water on a constant basis, and is not on a nutrient-dense diet, the water might strip away vital minerals from key places within your body.

My personal solution would be to ditch the distilled water and invest in a faucet filter, as it will do the same job as distilled water but will retain its vital minerals. My favorite water purifier is the Waterdrop Faucet Filter, I am still using it after 2 months and is still getting great, purified water that is way tastier than regular distilled water. I hope this article has helped you, fell free to share this post with others who may wonder if distilled water is safe to drink. Thank you for reading and have a blessed day!

Does Social Media Help Businesses?

Does Social Media Help Businesses?

It is a new day, a new decade and a new era. The world of social media has changed the world in ways we have never seen before. According to, More than 3.8 billion people across the world have a social media account of some sort, which will be close to 50% of the world’s population.

Social media can be a mix of both problems and solutions at the same time, such as solving crime situations and locating missing people, to spreading negative energy and drama which can lead to more serious accusations such as suicide.

But what about social media when it comes to business? Can the power of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, Twitter, Pinterest etc. can make a positive or negative impact when it comes to business and finance? Well my answer is simple, and I will explain my opinion on social media helping businesses.

First off, I view a perfect social media account in three parts: 40% followers, 30% content, and 30% reach (search results). As the account matures, the percentage will toggle overtime, which will change the impact that the account has upon society.

For example, Lebron James Instagram account is the perfect social media account. He has a majority of great content with over a million likes per post, which comes from having such a high following. That high following will list his account as the first option when searching for his account name, which makes all three parts work together to make his account the perfect social media account.

Now let’s take his account and put it into business perspective. If he posts on Instagram promoting a small business in his hometown, the chances of that business getting numbers in regard to search and traffic is more than 90 percent.

By Lebron having a high following, those likes will more than likely transform into link clicks as well, which will lead to traffic production to the business that will then lead to more sales and revenue. I view this interaction as The Social Revenue Cycle.

The SRC is explained, in which the traffic (followers) from the account will lead to the business site when it’s tag or link is clicked, which then the business will be shared to other people if the consumer finds the business beneficial. The other people will then go to the original source of mentioning, which is the popular social media account, which will then receive the traffic from the business mentioned. You can use the cycle for all social media accounts and is depended solely on the number of followers the account has.

So, to answer the question “Does social media help businesses?” yes, social media help businesses in regard to traffic reach and sales. However, the only way businesses can profit off social media alone is if the account is highly popular according to the chart mentioned in the first section.

If the social media chart explained above matches the account provided, then the business mentioned can have a great chance of receiving those sales off of the mentions alone, especially of the account has over 500,000 followers.

The business will then be depended on the SRC. The more traffic received, the better chances that the received traffic will produce more new traffic for the business overall. So, it’s a Sunday afternoon, you have the day off work and there is nothing on TV, not even football. It is raining heavily outside, so you’re stuck in the house figuring out how to make use of the next 6 to 7 hours, but your brain freezes with coming up with thoughts, so you decide to instead do the norm of a boring day, which is eating and sleeping. That is a great option if you’re hungry and tired, but spending 7 hours doing nothing will not only make you feel worse than you was earlier, but you will have that feeling of not having the chance of doing something productive, and you will go to bed having to deal with the long work week ahead knowing you didn’t take advantage of all the free time that you had. I will give you some things that any adult can do when you’re stuck at home with nothing to do, that will be very beneficial in the long run.

1. Create a personal spa session.

It can be hard to unwind after a long and grueling work week, let alone a day. But if you have the free time and no distractions, creating a personal spa session will help you. The first thing to do is to go to the bathroom and set up a few candles or change the light bulbs to ones that is less dim than the regular ones. Once you have set up the low light, fill up the bathtub with your favorite soaps and herbs, bath bombs are also a great option. If you’re not a fan of baths, a hot shower transitioning into a cool one is a great alternate. Once you add your speaker to the mix with some calming music or sounds, you have created your own personal spa that you can unwind for as long as you like. This will help you be more relaxed and refreshed, in both a physical and mental way. It will also save you money in comparison to spending almost a hundred dollars at a professional spa.

2. Clean / Rearrange your place.

If you have a lot of time on your hands and is sick and tired of looking at the same things that you have seen for months, now is a great time to clean out and/or rearrange your house or apartment. For example, if you have a bunch of things in your storage room that Is piling up and needs to be sorted out, take the time and organize them. It is proven that throwing out old useless material that has no value will change your mindset positively, leaving you with the satisfaction that you have decompressed and ready to fill that empty space with material that contains positive meaning. The same thing can be accounted for when it comes to rearranging. You will kill a lot of time in the long run, and it will make your space a lot bigger and more comfortable.

3. Meal prep for the week.

Meal prepping for the week can be stressful sometimes, especially when you have to work throughout the week. If you’re at home with spare time in your hands, set out a meal plan and prepare for the week. There are plenty of options you can use such as rice, chicken, vegetables, beef, fish and so on. It is known that meal prepping for the week will not only save you time and money but will also make the time go by faster.

4. Take an online class/skill.

Knowledge is the absolute power of everyday life. Without it, living would be a living hell. That’s why it’s very important to learn something new every day, especially when you’re bored with nothing to do. There are plenty of online sites and apps that will give you courses on a variety of topics for you to learn for free or at a very small price. There is also the greatness of YouTube, as there are millions of great educational contents that you can watch. Not only are you gaining great information, but you’re passing time along the way by doing something productive. It’s a win-win situation.

In conclusion, we all have days when we just want to relax, and that is perfectly fine. However, if you want to use your time beneficially and end the day knowing you have done something positive and productive, then try these 4 options. When you put something to action, you will forget how much time will pass by doing those things, and you will reap the benefits of it. If you have something else that you usually do to pass time, leave a comment below. Thank you for reading and I hope these options have helped you overcome boredom, have a blessed day!
